In 1998, we introduced the first installation of variable speed drives for HVAC Application at Central Bank Building in Sri Lanka, followed by Colombo Hilton, the first hotel convinced among revolutionary criticism as to   advantages and benefits of  drive technologies,   ever since, we have set standards in implementation of drive technologies for as many diverse applications as centrifugal machines could perform, we claim over 90% of installation references from a small domestic application to the largest pumping station and blower in Sri Lanka, at present, we remain as the undisputed leader not only within HVAC and water Industries, but also industrial applications covering food & beverage, chemical and Rubber and tyre industries helping our customers save a sustantial amount of electricty.

Southern Automation was  recently awarded a contract for an integrated BMS for University of Moratuwa, this is the first BMS contract in Sri Lanka went for public offers without being part of  HVAC package

Dhammike Gamage, CEO & Founder of Southern Automation Systems decided to offer additional equipment for Access control, DVR, camara, fire panel and VSD   free of charge to make awareness of latest products and development available for the university where he was  produced to become a self developed entreprenuer  

Southern Automation won the award for the building management system (BMS) for New Arrival and Departure concourse  at Bandaranaike International Airport,

Client was totally satisfied with our previous installation of BMS for cargo and Passenger buildings, which is the largest Local Area Network (LAN) found in Sri Lanka with two sites integrating into a single server by Ethernet over fiber optic

once the ongoing project is completed, a single server with 100% redundancy will perform 4 multiple sites connecting 12 numbers of chillers integrating with BACnet and LON,

we have also provided fully featured wireless PDA for operators bringing  all BMS operation into mobile. 

this is the largest BMS project in Sri Lanka  being handled by  factory trained local  engineers
